Camps
Annual Camp on an RAF Station is the highlight of the cadet year. The cadets are given the opportunity to spend one week on an RAF station. The primary purpose is to let cadets experience what life is like on an RAF camp. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and have a lot of fun.

Cadets sleep in RAF accommodation blocks or even tents, eat at the airman's mess and visit the various sections around the station (such as squadrons, the control tower etc.), as well as take part in sports, orienteering and night exercises and any social activities which may be available.

There will be drill, uniform and room inspections but these, along with all the other activities, earn points for you as an individual and for your flight.

Each cadet at camp will normally get a flight and cadets over 16 years of age may receive a Work Experience placement whilst on the camp where they see first-hand exactly what a job within the Royal Air Force entails. To be able to go on any camps you need to be 1st class cadet which you should get with in 6months of the Air Training Corps.

One of the highlights of the year is the Royal International Air Tattoo, where there is the chance you can help set up the show and enjoy the air displays throughout the weekend free for a thank you of your hard work.
